Beef And Broccoli

  1. Stir-fry beef, garlic, sugar and salt in hot oil.
  2. Stir in sake and soy sauce; cook, covered, 2 to 3 minutes.
  3. Remove meat and set aside.
  4. Add broccoli and 3/4 cup water to skillet (or wok).
  5. Bring to boiling; stir and then cook, covered, 2 to 5 minutes more.
  6. Add meat.
  7. Combine cornstarch and 1/2 cup cold water.
  8. Pour into center of mixture.
  9. Cook and stir 2 to 3 minutes or until thick and bubbly.
  10. Serve with hot cooked rice.
  11. Serves 4.
