Southern Peanut Butter Pie
- 1 cup light corn syrup or 1 cup dark corn syrup
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 eggs, slightly beaten
- 12 teaspoon vanilla
- 13 cup chunky peanut butter
- 1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell
- 1 cup whipping cream
- Combine first 5 ingredients, mixing until thoroughly blended.
- Pour into prepared pastry shell.
- Bake in hot oven (400 degrees) 15 minutes; reduce heat to moderate (350 degrees); bake 30 to 35 minutes longer.
- Filling should appear slightly less set in center.
- Chill.
- Top with whipped cream.
