Sausage And Bacon Linguine
- 12 oz sausage, sliced (I use chicken sausage from a natural foods store, but you can use whatever kind you prefer)
- 1 lb linguine
- 4 slice bacon, diced
- 1 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 1 crushed red pepper (to taste)
- 1/2 lemon juiced & zested
- 2 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil.
- Prepare linguine.
- In a large saute pan, cook sausage and bacon.
- Remove sausage and bacon, leave drippings in the pan.
- Stir in chicken broth and seasonings, continue cooking until liquid is reduced by half.
- Stir in lemon zest and juice.
- Stir in heavy cream and simmer until it coats the back of a spoon.
- Stir in diced tomatoes.
- Toss bacon, sausage and linguine in sauce until thick and sticks to noodles.
