Sandwich Nicoise Recipe

  1. Cut bread in half horizontally.
  2. Remove the center of each half leaving a 1 inch thick bread shell.
  3. Combine oil, vinegar, basil and garlic.
  4. Brush bread shells with dressing.
  5. Layer remaining ingredients in bottom of bread shell, season with pepper.
  6. Cover with top half and press.
  7. Wrap tightly in foil.
  8. Cover with a 3-5 lb.
  9. weight and chill 30 min.
  10. Cut into wedges.
  11. Serves 6.
