Healthy but Tasty Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

  1. Preheat oven to 375.
  2. Beat the sugars and butter until light and fluffy.
  3. Add orange juice, corn syrup, egg, vanilla extract, and butter flavor; beat well.
  4. In a separate bowl combine flour, flax, wheat germ, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Stir in the oats and chocolate chips.
  6. Add to sugar mixture; stir until well-blended.
  7. Drop by tablespoons onto baking sheets coated with cooking spray.
  8. Press 3-5 pecan/walnut pieces onto the tops of each cookie if desired.
  9. Bake at 375 for 8 minutes or until almost set.
  10. Cool on a wire rack.
