Homemade Mashed Potatoes

  1. Cut potatoes into 1-inch pieces & place in large pot.
  2. Peel garlic cloves & add to pot.
  3. Cover with water.
  4. Bring water to boil.
  5. Reduce heat to medium & cook for 15 minutes or until fork tender.
  6. Drain well & put in large bowl.
  7. While potatoes are cooking, put milk, butter, parsley, rosemary, & thyme in small saucepan over low heat.
  8. Cook & stir until milk is warmed & bitter is melted.
  9. Set aside.
  10. After potatoes are in large bowl, mash with potato masher until mashed.
  11. Add milk mixture, sour cream, salt, & cheese.
  12. Mix well.
  13. Can use a hand mixer if want.
  14. Then they are ready to serve.
