All American Corn Dogs
- 2 cups vegetable oil
- 12 ounces beef cocktail franks (Boar's Head recommended)
- 2 eggs
- 13 cup milk
- 13 cup cayenne pepper sauce (Franks recommended)
- 1 cup pancake and baking mix
- 1 cup cornmeal
- In deep fryer, heat vegetable oil to 375.
- Separate franks; pat dry.
- In bowl, whisk together eggs, milk and pepper sauce.
- Stir in baking mix and cornmeal until blended.
- Working in batches, dip franks in batter, letting excess drip back into bowl.
- Fry 1 minute, or until golden brown.
- Drain.
- Serve with ketchup and mustard, if desired.
