Dutch Style Beef Stew Recipe
- 2 lbs. stew meat, cut into 1 inch pcs
- 1 pound carrots, cleaned and cut into 1 inch pcs
- 1 lg. minced onion
- 6 lg. potatoes, peeled and cut into 2 inch chunks
- 3 ribs celery, cut into 1 inch pcs
- 1 (28 ounce.) can of Italian peeled tomatoes
- 2 c. water
- 5 tbsp. tapioca
- 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon allspice
- 1/4 teaspoon thyme
- 1 bay leaf
- Place all ingredients into a large baking dish and stir well.
- Cover and cook in 350 degree oven for 2 to 2 1/2 hrs, or possibly till meat and vegetables are tender.
