Oh, How Easy! Country Style Oven Baked Apple Pie
- 1 Store-bought frozen puff pastry
- 1/2 Apple
- 15 to 20 grams Butter
- 1 to 2 tablespoons Granulated sugar
- 1 Cinnamon powder
- 1 for glazing Apricot jam or honey
- Prepare by thawing the frozen puff pastry for about 5 to 10 minutes.
- Bring 1/2 the amount of butter to room temperature or lightly microwave to soften.
- Core the apple and slice to 3 mm thickness.
- Preheat the oven to 210C for about 25 minutes.
- Use a knife to lightly mark the surface of the puff pastry about 1 cm around the entire sheet, then pierce the rest with a fork and spread on 1/2 of the softened butter, avoiding the edges.
- Arrange the apple slices on top of the buttered pastry surface, then with sprinkle small pats of the remaining butter, sugar, and cinnamon powder.
- Bake in an oven for about 25 minutes while keeping your eye on it.
- Once it finishes baking, brush the surface with apricot jam or honey to glaze.
- The edges that were created by marking the surface should puff up and have a nice and crispy texture.
