Double Chocolate Macadamia Brownies

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. In a small saucepan melt chocolate and butter; transfer to a large mixing bowl and cool.
  3. To chocolate add sugar, flour, eggs, vanilla and salt; mix well.
  4. Stir in chocolate bits and 1/2 cup macadamia nuts.
  5. Pour batter into a greased 8-inch square baking pan.
  6. Spinkle the top with remaining nuts.
  7. Bake until a cake tester inserted comes out clean, about 40 minutes.
  8. Cool on wire rack about 20 minutes.
  9. Cut into 1-1/2-inch squares.
  10. Wrap in clear plastic wrap, if desired.
