Kinako (Roasted Soy Powder) Candy

  1. Microwave the honey in a heat-resistant glass dish for 2 minutes.
  2. Add the kinako powder to the bubbling honey and stir it in.
  3. You can also make it in a small sauce pan, without using a microwave.
  4. When the batter forms a dough, dust the working surface with kinako and roll the dough into thin logs.
  5. If the dough is sticky, dust on more kinako.
  6. If the dough is too crumbly and won't stick together, add a small amount of heated honey.
  7. Cut into your desired sizes, then coat the ends in kinako.
