Sig's Strawberry icy delight
- 1 For the Homemade quark icecream with rhubarb and honey sauce.
- 250 grams quark, mascarpone or creme fraiche
- 500 grams fresh hulled strawberries , cut into halves or smaller pieces. Set a few whole ones aside for garnish
- 100 ml fresh double cream
- 1 tsp sugar or more to taste
- 1 good pinch each ground cinnamon and vanilla sugar
- 1 small pinch ground black pepper
- Clean, hull and cut the strawberries in half ,or smaller setting aside a few for garnish
- Mix the cream and the quark with the sugars, cinnamon and pepper
- Mix until the sugar is dissolved
- Add the strawberries and mix gently until the juices run.
- Divide into two portions and chill freeze for about 15 minutes then stir again gently.
- Put back in freezer.
- Until ready to eat .
- Take out 5-10 minutes before serving .
