Silken Tofu with Ground Chicken in Colorful Sauce
- 1 block Silken tofu
- 100 grams Ground chicken
- 1/2 Carrot
- 4 beans Green beans
- 1 tbsp Toasted black sesame seeds
- 1/2 tbsp Grated ginger
- 1/2 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1/2 tbsp Mirin
- 1 tsp Granulated konbu dashi stock
- 200 ml Water
- 1 tbsp Katakuriko
- (Prep) Drain the tofu.
- Chop the carrot.
- Cut the green beans into small pieces.
- Add the water and granulated kombu dashi stock to a frying pan and bring to a boil.
- Add the ginger, ground chicken, carrot, and green beans to the pan.
- When it comes to boil again, add the soy sauce and mirin.
- When the meat is cooked through and the carrots and green beans are softened, add the tofu to the pan and break it up into bite-sized pieces.
- When it comes to a boil again, turn the heat to low.
- Add the katakuriko (dissolved in water) and stir to thicken.
- Season with black sesame and give it a quick stir.
- All done.
