Stovetop Pork Chops with Dijon & Soy Gravy
- 4 whole Pork Chops
- 4 Tablespoons Soy Sauce
- 2 Tablespoons Dijon Mustard
- 2 Tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
- 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
- 5 ounces, weight Mushrooms, Sliced (1/2 Container)
- 1/2 whole Onion (cut Into Thin Strips)
- 1 whole Green Pepper (cut Into Thin Strips)
- 1/4 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese
- 1 pinch Salt To Taste
- 1 pinch Ground Pepper To Taste
- Mix together the soy sauce, Dijon mustard and Worcestershire sauce in a large bowl to make a marinade.
- Add all the chops and let them sit in the marinade for 5 to 10 minutes.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet and saute the chops over medium high heat until they are golden brown on both sides.
- Add the mushrooms, onions and green peppers to the pan with the chops and saute for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Pour all the remaining marinade into the pan, cover the pan and reduce the heat to medium.
- Let it simmer for 10 to 15 minutes until all the veggies are thoroughly cooked and the sauce has thickened.
- Remove lid, sprinkle shredded cheese all over the chops and cook for 1 to 2 minutes more or until all the cheese is melted.
- Serve with rice or mashed potatoes.
- The marinade turns into a wonderfully flavorful gravy!
