Spiced Curry Lamb Burgers
- 1- 1/2 pound Ground Lamb
- 1- 1/2 pound Ground Pork
- 1/4 teaspoons Cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon Curry
- 1 teaspoon Cumin
- 3 cloves Garlic, Minced Finely
- 1/2 whole Sweet Onion, Grated
- 1/2 teaspoons Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
- 1/4 teaspoons Ground Ginger
- Pita Shells (or Buns), To Serve
- 8 leaves Lettuce, To Serve
- 1- 1/2 cup Sour Cream Or Plain Greek Yogurt
- 2 whole Lemons, Juiced
- 1/2 cups Fresh Chopped Herbs, Such As Parsley And Chives
- Salt And Pepper, to taste
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground meats together with the cinnamon, curry, cumin, garlic, onion, pepper flakes and ginger.
- Shape into patties.
- Fire up the grill and cook burgers as desired, until meat registers at least 160 degrees F on a meat thermometer.
- Meanwhile, combine the ingredients for the lemon herb sauce.
- Set aside.
- Assemble burgers on pita shells or buns with lettuce, drizzled with sauce.
- Excellent served with a fresh side or salsa-type topping.
