Roadhouse BBQ Brisket
- 2-1/2 cups KRAFT Italian Dressing
- 2 each beef briskets
- 3 cups KRAFT Original Barbecue Sauce
- 4 each onions, thinly sliced
- 1/3 cup water
- Pour dressing over meat in shallow nonreactive pan; turn meat over to cover both sides with dressing.
- Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours or overnight to marinate, turning occasionally.
- Remove meat from marinade; discard marinade.
- Place meat in full-size hotel pan (or half-size hotel pan for trial recipe).
- Cover with foil.
- Bake in 275F-standard oven for 2-1/2 hours (or in 250F-convection oven for 1-1/2 hours) or until meat is tender and cooked through (160F).
- Drain excess liquid.
- Mix barbecue sauce, onions and water in saucepan; cook over medium heat 5 to 10 min.
- or until onions are tender, stirring occasionally.
- Pour over meat.
- Continue baking 30 min., basting occasionally with the barbecue sauce mixture.
