Frijoles a La Charra

  1. clean n rinse the pinto beans.
  2. make sure u clean them cuz they sometimes have stones.
  3. then add beans into a stock pot or slow cooker.
  4. if using slow cooker put on low n cook for 4-8 hrs.
  5. on stove top cook them for 4-5 hrs.
  6. add all your seasonings and bring to a boil.
  7. once it boils lower heat to medium.
  8. add cut up bacon, tomato, cilantro, onion, jalapenos and garlic
  9. cook till beans are tender.
  10. u hav to check on them.
  11. if it.needs more water add.
  12. but taste cuz u might hav to season again.
  13. once beans are.tender u can turn them.off and serve.
  14. to make refried beans add bacon drippings/oil to pan let it get hot.
  15. then add the beans and use a masher to mash them.
  16. then serve.
