- 5 cups Rice, Wheat, and/or Corn Chex Cereal
- 1 cup Oats, Uncooked
- 1 cup Honey
- 1/4 cups Vegetable Or Canola Oil
- 12 ounces, weight Mixed Nuts
- 1/4 cups Butter Or Margarine, Melted
- 1/4 cups Parmesan Cheese, Grated
- 1/2 teaspoons Garlic Powder
- 1/2 teaspoons Oregano
- 1/2 teaspoons Celery Salt
- Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
- 1.
- In a large bowl, combine cereal and oats.
- 2.
- In a large measuring cup, combine honey and oil; pour over the cereal/oat mix.
- Stir gently until completely coated.
- 3.
- Spread cereal on a foil-lined cookie sheet.
- (You may also want to spray the foil with cooking spray.)
- 4.
- Bake at 300 degrees for 20 minutes, stirring cereal occasionally.
- Make sure it turns golden brown; do not burn.
- 5.
- In the meantime, melt butter in a medium bowl.
- 6.
- Add Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, oregano, and celery salt; stir.
- Then, add the mixed nuts and stir to coat.
- 7.
- Once again, spread butter/nut mixture on a foil-lined cookie sheet and, once again, bake, at 300 degrees for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

- Allow both pans to cool completely.
- 9.
- In a large container, mix the cereal and nuts together.
- 10.
- Enjoy!
- Note: the next time I make this, I plan to add a little cayenne to the butter/nut coating!
