Red Velvet Kwanzaa Cake
- 1 pkg. (2-layer size) white cake mix
- 2 squares BAKER'S Unsweetened Chocolate, melted
- 1 Tbsp. red food coloring
- 1 pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
- 1 pkg. (16 oz.) powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- Prepare and bake cake mix as directed on package for 2 (9-inch) round cake layers, adding chocolate and food coloring with water, eggs and oil; cool completely.
- Beat cream cheese and butter with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended.
- Gradually add sugar, beating well after each addition.
- Stir in pecans.
- Fill and frost cake layers.
