Baked Parmesan Macaroni
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 3 cups milk, heated
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 1 dash Tabasco sauce
- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 14 cup grated romano cheese
- 8 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded
- Heat butter in a saucepan until melted; stir in flour until smooth.
- Cook, stirring, over low heat until the flour is cooked, about 3 minutes.
- Gradually stir in the hot milk until smooth.
- Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture boils and is thickened.
- Cook, stirring frequently over low heat for 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile cook the macaroni on plenty of salted boiling water.
- Drain.
- Combine the white sauce, pasta, Romano and Parmesan cheeses.
- Pour into a buttered 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle the top with mozzarella cheese.
- Bake for 45 minutes at 350 until top is browned and bubbly.
