Custard Pie Recipe

  1. Refrigerate9-inch pie shell while making filling.
  2. Blend Large eggs, sugar, salt, vanilla and almond extract.
  3. Gradually stir in scalded lowfat milk.
  4. Pour into chilled unbaked pie shell.
  5. Sprinkle with nutmeg.
  6. Bake in warm oven (400 degrees) 25-30 min.
  7. Pie is done when knife inserted halfway between outside and center of custard comes out clean.
  8. Remove from oven.
  9. Set on cooling rack 15-30 min, then refrigeratein refrigerator.
