Rice-A-Roni One Dish Dinner
- 3 Tablespoons Butter
- 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
- 1 whole Medium Onion
- 1 whole Chicken Breast
- 1 box Rice-A-Roni (any Flavor, 6 Ounce Box)
- 1/2 cups Frozen Vegetable
- Salt And Pepper, to taste
- Put large skillet or medium sauce pan on medium-medium high heat.
- Add butter and olive oil.
- Dice onion and put it in the pan.
- Saute for 4 minutes.
- Season chicken breast with salt and pepper and dice.
- Put diced chicken in the pan with the onions and saute until chicken just starts to brown.
- Add box of Rice-A-Roni, reserve the flavor packet, and saute until pasta is tan.
- Add two cups of water, the flavor packet*, and the frozen vegetable of your choice (mixed, just peas, whatever).
- Turn the heat to high and stir until the water boils.
- Then put lid on and reduce heat to low.
- Cook for 15-20 minutes.
- Remove from heat.
- Eat and enjoy!
- *If the box says to wait to put the flavor packet in until later in the cooking time, do that.
