Cajun Turkey Burgers Recipe
- 2 lb grnd turkey
- 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 4 tsp Creole seasoning divided
- 1 can no-salt stewed tomatoes - (14 1/2 ounce) liquid removed
- 1 tsp chopped garlic
- 8 x hamburger buns toasted
- Coat a cool grill rack with vegetable cooking spray.
- Prepare charcoal grill for direct-heat cooking.
- In a medium bowl, combine turkey, Worcestersire sauce and 2 Tbsp.
- Creole seasoning.
- Proportionately divide turkey mix into 8 burgers, approximately 3 1/2 inches in diameter.
- Grill burgers 5 to 6 min per side or possibly till 160 degrees is reached on a meat thermometer (meat should no longer be pink in the center).
- In a small saucepan over medium-high heat, combine tomatoes, remaining Creole seasoning and the garlic.
- Cook 5 min or possibly till most of the liquid has evaporated.
- To serve, place burger on bottom half of each bun, drizzle with 3 Tbsp.
- sauce and top with other half of bun.
- This recipe yields 8 burgers.
