Beef 'N Broccoli Stir Fry Recipe
- 1 tbsp. peanut or possibly vegetable oil
- 2 c. blanched broccoli florets
- 1 c. blanched diagonally sliced carrots, thin slices
- 1/2 c. onion wedges, thin wedges
- 6 ounce. broiled boneless sirloin steak, cut into thin strips
- 1 tbsp. plus 1 1/2 teaspoon rose light wine
- 1 tbsp. reduce sodium soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon granulated sugar
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- In 10 inch skillet or possibly wok heat oil; add in broccoli, carrots, and onion and cook stirring quickly and frequently, till vegetables are tender-crisp and onions are browned.
- Stir in beef strips.
- In small bowl combine remaining ingredients, stirring to dissolve cornstarch; add in to beef mix and cook, stirring constantly, till sauce is thickened, 2-3 min.
- Instead of blanching, the vegetables may be steamed for 2 min.
