Lasagna
- 8 ounces, weight Lasagna Noodles
- 2 Tablespoons Cooking Oil
- 1/4 cups Minced Onions
- 1 pound Ground Beef
- 8 ounces, weight Can Tomato Sauce
- 14- 1/2 ounces, weight Can Whole Tomatoes
- 2 teaspoons Garlic Powder
- 1/2 teaspoons Ground Oregano
- 1- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1/4 teaspoons Black Pepper
- 1/4 teaspoons Ground Thyme
- 1 teaspoon Chili Powder
- 1/4 teaspoons Paprika
- 1/2 pounds Cheddar Cheese, Grated
- 1/4 pounds Mozzarella Cheese, Grated
- 1/4 cups Parmesan Cheese (kraft)
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- In a large pot, prepare lasagna noodles according to direction on the package.
- While the noodles are cooking, in a large skillet heat oil on medium high heat and saute onion.
- Once they are translucent add the ground beef, crumbling and cooking until no pink remains.
- Once this is complete add the tomato sauce, whole tomatoes (breaking them into pieces as you go), and all of the seasonings.
- Let simmer for about 15 minutes.
- Once pasta is complete drain off water and rinse the noodles with cold water.
- In a 9x13 baking dish, layer the bottom with a thin layer of sauce, then add a layer of 3 pasta noodles, more sauce, the 3 different cheese, repeat pasta, sauce, cheese until all layers are complete.
- Cover and put into the oven and cook for 30 minutes.
- After finished, take out of the oven, let set for 1o minutes and serve.
