Sweet and Savory Artichokes

  1. Wash the artichokes well and cut into bite-sized pieces.
  2. (Don't peel the skin.)
  3. Coat with katakuriko.
  4. Deep-fry in oil until crispy.
  5. Combine the ingredients and heat in a frying pan.
  6. Add the freshly fried artichokes to the frying pan from Step 4 and coat them evenly.
  7. Add the white sesame seeds and the sesame oil to Step 5 and briefly stir.
  8. Add red chili pepper to taste.
