Amaretto Truffle Bars

  1. Line 8-inch square baking pan with aluminum foil extending over edges.
  2. Combine baking bars, 1/3 cup butter and whipping cream in 2-quart saucepan.
  3. Cook over low heat, stirring often, until smooth.
  4. Reserve 1 cup mixture; set aside.
  5. Spread remaining chocolate mixture onto bottom of prepared pan.
  6. Freeze until set (about 30 minutes).
  7. Meanwhile, combine pudding mix, 1/4 cup melted butter, amaretto, milk and vanilla in large bowl; stir until well mixed.
  8. Add powdered sugar; beat at medium speed until smooth.
  9. Spread filling mixture over chocolate mixture in pan.
  10. Carefully pour reserved chocolate mixture over filling.
  11. Freeze until set (about 30 minutes).
  12. Lift bars out of pan using foil; cut into bars.
  13. Lightly sprinkle top of bars with cocoa.
  14. To serve, place bars in mini paper liners.
  15. Store in refrigerator.
  16. *Substitute 3 tablespoons milk plus 1 teaspoon almond extract.
