Caribbean Ham & Pineapple Sandwich
- 1 1/2 cups coarsely chopped fresh pineapple*
- 1 tablespoon coarsely chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 1/2 teaspoons Jamaican jerk seasoning
- 4 teaspoons Land O Lakes Butter, softened
- 4 hoagie buns, sliced in half
- 4 romaine lettuce leaves
- 1/2 pound thinly sliced deli ham
- 4 (3/4-ounce) slices Land O Lakes Deli American, cut in half diagonally
- 8 thin green bell pepper rings
- Combine pineapple, cilantro and jerk seasoning in bowl; set aside.
- Butter bottom half of each bun.
- Layer each bottom bun half with 1 lettuce leaf, 1/4 ham, 2 cheese halves, 2 bell pepper rings, 1/4 pineapple mixture and top bun half.
- Serve immediately.
- *Substitute 1 (15-ounce) can pineapple rings, drained, coarsely chopped.
