Green Tea Swirl Pound Cake
- 100 grams Unsalted butter
- 90 grams Granulated sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 100 grams Plain cake flour
- 3 grams Baking powder
- 2 drops Vanilla essence
- 30 grams Milk
- 10 grams Matcha
- Leave the butter and egg out at room temperature.
- Mix the ingredients well.
- Sift together the flour and baking powder.
- Line a loaf tin with baking paper.
- Preheat the oven to 355F/180C.
- Combine the eggs and sugar in a bowl and whisk well.
- Stir in the vanilla essence.
- Put softened butter in another bowl and whisk until it has a mayonnaise-like consistency.
- Add the sifted flour.
- You will have a crumbly texture first, but continue to whisk.
- Whisk until creamy.
- Add the mixture from Step 3 to the bowl in 3-4 batches.
- Continue to whisk throughout.
- Whisk until you have a creamy batter with soft consistency.
- Divide the batter into two bowls.
- Add the into one of the bowls and mix well.
- You will have 2 types of batter.
- Put the two types of batter alternatively in the prepared loaf tin.
- Quickly stir with a spoon.
- Bake in the oven heated to 355F/180C for about 40 minutes.
- After 15 minutes of baking, take out the tin and make a slit in the middle lengthwise.
- By making a slit in the middle, you will have a pretty-looking cake like this.
