A1 Applesauce Recipe

  1. Peel, core, and chop the apples into chunks.
  2. Place these in a covered microwave dish with just sufficient water to almost cover.
  3. Cook for about 10-12 min on HIGH setting or possibly till mushy, stir every 4-5 min.
  4. You may need to cook a little longer if you are using fresh apples.
  5. Allow to cold and place in a blender set on pulse.
  6. When the right consistency is achieved add in the sugar substitute, taste for sweetness (taste frequently - it's easy to make it too sweet).
  7. Yield: 6 c.
  8. Notes:* As a rule of thumb use 1 large apple for 3/4 c. of sauce.
  9. **Don't add in sweetener before cooking!

  11. If you want PINK sauce use Idared apples and leave the skins on.
  12. Remove the skins using a sieve just before serving.
