Easy Tofu Hamburger Steak with Fragrant Sesame Oil
- 1 block Firm tofu
- 250 grams Ground meat
- 2/3 stalk finely chopped Japanese scallions (green onions) or welsh onions
- 1 tsp each, finely chopped or grated Garlic, ginger
- 2 tbsp Ground sesame seeds
- 1 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Sesame oil
- 1 pinch Salt and pepper
- Add all ingredients in a bowl, mix into gruel, and shape to your preference.
- Heat the frying pan, and cook in medium to high heat with a little sesame oil (not listed in the ingredients).
- Cook both sides thoroughly while extracting water from the steak, and you are finished.
- Instead of pouring sauce over the entire steak, have a few sauces in separate plates and enjoy each bite with a different sauce.
- I personally prefer and recommend soy sauce with mustard and vinegar, or soy sauce with shichimi spice and vinegar.
- You can also try other sauces such as ponzu or soy sauce with lemon.
