Spicy and Cheesy Italian Long Hot Garlic Bread

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F and place shelf near the top.
  2. Cut Italian loaf in half lengthwise.
  3. Melt butter in the microwave and brush bread with it (leave some to pour on top later).
  4. Top the bread with 3/4 of the remaining ingredients, reserving all the cheese for topping.
  5. Bake for 1012 minutes until crispy.
  6. Remove from oven and turn oven to broil.
  7. Add the cheese on top, then sprinkle remaining 1/4 of ingredients, and top with a little melted butter.
  8. Return to oven for 35 minutes until cheese is bubbling and melted.
  9. Cut in strips and serve!
