Chili Veggie Burgers
- 1/2 cups Brown Rice, Uncooked
- 3 cups Vegetarian Chili
- 2 cups Panko Bread Crumbs
- Oil, For Your Frying Pan
- 8 Hamburger Buns
- Cook rice according to package directions.
- When its done remove the pan from the heat and put the rice into the bowl of a food processor.
- Add chili.
- Pulse together chili and brown rice until combined.
- Pour mixture into a large bowl.
- Stir in panko breadcrumbs until mixture becomes dry and sticky, adding more breadcrumbs if necessary.
- Divide the mixture into eight equal sections and shape into a patty.
- If serving immediately, fry them in a skillet over medium heat with a bit of oil.
- Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side.
- Serve on a bun with your favorite toppings.
- If freezing them, first bake at 400 F for 20-25 minutes.
- Then let them cool.
- Then place them into individual freezer bags.
- Enjoy!
