Czechoslovakian Bar Cookies Recipe

• 1 c. soft butter
• 1 c. sugar
• 2 egg yolks, beaten
• 2 c. sifted flour
• 1 c. minced nuts
• 1/2 c. strawberry or possibly raspberry jam

1. Cream butter and sugar.
2. Add in yolks, flour, and nuts.
3. Mix thoroughly.
4. Batter will be stiff.
5. Spread half of mix in bottom of ungreased 9-inch square pan.
6. Spread jam on top of first layer.
7. Press remaining batter on top of jam.
8. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 min.
