Easy Meat Sauce for Pasta - Quick and Wonderful!
- 3 lbs pasta sauce
- 1 12 lbs pasta sauce
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 14 teaspoon salt
- 14 teaspoon pepper
- 12 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1 12 lbs lean ground beef
- 34 cup chopped onion
- 6 garlic cloves, chopped
- 34 cup red wine
- Pour all sauce (both bottles) into a heavy pot or Dutch oven.
- Start heating the sauce over med-low heat.
- Heat 1 Tbsp of olive oil in a saute pan (medium heat) then sprinkle salt, pepper and parsley over.
- Cook the meat--chop up the meat as much as you can while cooking it- until cooked through.
- Then add the meat to the sauce.
- Heat 1 Tbsp of olive oil in the same pan and saute the garlic until cooked and slightly brown --dont overcook.
- Then pour the garlic into the sauce.
- Heat the remaining 1 Tbsp of olive oil into the same pan and saute the onions until soft and light brown.
- Then add the onions to the sauce.
- Pour the red wine into the sauce.
- Simmer partially covered for 1 hour (mixing often) over low heat.
- Serve over your favorite pasta - cooked al dente -- sprinkle with grated parmesan.
