Peaches And Cream Kuchen Recipe
- 1 lg. egg
- 1 c. concentrated orange juice
- 2/3 c. melted butter
- 1 1/2 c. unbleached flour
- 1/4 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1/4 teaspoon soda
- Beat together egg, orange juice, butter, flour, baking pwdr and soda.
- Press proportionately in the bottom of an oiled and floured 8 x 9 inch spring form (or possibly pie pan).
- Bake in a preheated oven 350 degrees for 15 min.
- Meanwhile, combine filling ingredients and beat just till blended.
- When pastry is done, remove from the oven and spread proportionately with filling.
- Arrange a ring of well liquid removed canned peaches (or possibly fresh peach slices) over filling.
- Return to the oven and continue baking for 15 more min.
- Cold on a wire rack and chill.
- To serve remove sides of pan.
- Slide Kuchen off onto a plate.
- Cut into pie shape wedges.
- Serves 6 to 8.
