Football Cake
- 1 pkg. (2-layer size) chocolate cake mix
- 1 cup cold milk
- 1 pkg. (4-serving size) Jell-O Chocolate Instant Pudding
- 1/4 cup icing sugar
- 3 cups thawed Cool Whip Whipped Topping
- brown decorating gel
- Grease and flour 13x9-inch baking pan; set aside.
- Prepare cake batter and bake in prepared pan as directed on package.
- Cool 15 min.
- in pan; remove to wire rack.
- Cool completely.
- Trim corners and sides from cake to resemble football shape.
- Reserve trimmings for snacking or another use.
- Pour milk into medium bowl.
- Add dry pudding mix and sugar.
- Beat with wire whisk 2 min.
- or until well blended.
- Gently stir in whipped topping; spread onto cake.
- Use decorating gel to add the "laces" to the "football."
- Store in refrigerator.
