Nutty Cake Bars with Chocolate Glaze
- 1 pkg. (2-layer size) yellow cake mix
- 1 pkg. (4-serving size) Jell-O Vanilla Instant Pudding
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup mixed nuts (almonds, cashews and pistachios), coarsely chopped
- 1 pkg. (225 g) Baker's Semi-Sweet Chocolate
- 2 Tbsp. oil
- Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Line 13x9-inch pan with foil, with ends of foil extending over sides; spray with cooking spray.
- Beat first 4 ingredients with mixer until blended.
- (Dough will be thick.)
- Stir in nuts; press onto bottom of prepared pan.
- Bake 30 min.
- or until toothpick inserted in centre comes out clean.
- Cool completely.
- Melt chocolate as directed on package; stir in oil.
- Spread over cake.
- Refrigerate 30 min.
- or until chocolate is firm.
- Use foil handles to remove dessert from pan before cutting into bars.
