Extravagant Brownies with Lots of Chocolate

  1. Spread the walnuts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. Roast in a 170 degrees C oven for 15 minutes.
  3. Chop the walnuts into small pieces.
  4. Line a baking pan with parchment paper and heat the oven to 340F/170C.
  5. Brownie batter: Sift together the cake flour, cocoa, and baking powder.
  6. Heat the milk.
  7. Put the sweet chocolate, butter, and rum in a bowl and melt over hot water.
  8. Combine eggs, granulated sugar, and warmed milk into a separate bowl.
  9. Mix with a whisk.
  10. Gradually add the egg mixture from Step 5 to the chocolate mixture from Step 4.
  11. Mix until shiny.
  12. Sift the dry ingredients into the mixture from Step 6 and mix lightly.
  13. Fold in the walnuts from Step 2.
  14. Pour the batter into the pan and bake at 340F/170C for about 20 minutes.
  15. Done.
