Baked Apple And Pear Compote Recipe
- 4 x tart apples peeled, cored and cut into quarters or possibly sixths a handful of raisins
- 3 x ripe but hard pears peeled, cored and cut into quarters or possibly sixths
- 2 Tbsp. mild-flavored honey tsp. grnd cinnamon tsp. grnd nutmeg juice of 1 lemon c. apple juice
- 1 Tbsp. whiskey
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
- Butter a baking dish large sufficient to hold all of the fruit.
- Place the fruit in the baking dish along with the raisins.
- Drizzle on the honey.
- Sprinkle on the spices.
- Mix together the lemon juice, apple juice and whiskey.
- Toss with the fruit.
- Place in the oven and bake for 45 min to 1 hour, till the fruit is very soft.
- Stir every 10 to 15 min.
- Serve either warm or possibly at room temperature.
- NOTES : We had it last night and enjoyed it - yum!
