Cheesecake

  1. Combine graham cracker crumbs, 1/4 cup sugar and melted margarine.
  2. Press into bottom of 9" springform pan.
  3. Combine softened cream cheese, 1/2 cup sugar, eggs and 3/4 teaspoon vanilla.
  4. Blend until smooth and pour over crust.
  5. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes.
  6. Cool 10 minutes.
  7. Meanwhile, combine sour cream, 1/2 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla.
  8. Blend well.
  9. Spread over cream cheese layer and bake for 10 minutes at 475 degrees.
  10. Cool at least 5 hours or overnight in refrigerator.
  11. Top with cherries or desired topping.
