Lemon Crinkles

  1. Preheat oven to 375F/190C.
  2. Cream butter, sugar, eggs and lemon extract.
  3. Sift together flour, baking soda and cream of tartar and stir into butter mix.
  4. Cover and chill for 1 hour.
  5. Shape into 1 inch balls and roll in sugar.
  6. Bake on a cookie sheet for about 9-11 minutes depending on your oven (cookies should be light brown around the edge).
  7. Let rest about 10 minutes before moving.
  8. Try one and adjust temperature or time if needed.
