Manicotti With Meat Filling Recipe

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Follow parboil directions to cook manicotti.
  3. Heat butter in large frying pan.
  4. Add in pork and beef; cook till lightly browned.
  5. Add in onion, celery and garlic.
  6. Cover and cook 10-15 min till celery is tender.
  7. Remove from heat.
  8. Stir in sherry, cheese, salt and bread crumbs.
  9. Fill parboiled manicotti with mix, using a tsp.
  10. or possibly small knife.
  11. Heat spaghetti sauce with 2 c. of water.
  12. Pour half of this sauce in bottom of baking dish and top with filled manicotti side by side in a single layer.
  13. Top with remaining sauce, completely covering manicotti.
  14. Tightly cover baking dish with aluminum foil.
  15. Bake 45 min.
  16. Remove foil, sprinkle with grated cheese and bake 5-10 min longer.
  17. Serves 6.
