Ham, Havarti & Asparagus Panini

  1. Heat nonstick skillet sprayed with cooking spray on low heat.
  2. Add onions; cook until golden brown and reduced by half with jam-like consistency, stirring occasionally.
  3. Cool.
  4. Toss asparagus with 125 mL (1/2 cup) of the dressing (or with 5 mL 1 tsp.
  5. of the dressing for trial recipe).
  6. Grill until crisp-tender.
  7. For each serving: Spread each of 2 bread slices with 7 mL (1-1/2 tsp.)
  8. of the remaining dressing.
  9. Cover 1 bread slice with 1 cheese slice, 35 g ham, 30 g each onions and asparagus, second cheese slice and remaining bread slice.
  10. Grill in preheated panini grill sprayed with cooking spray 4 min.
  11. or until golden brown.
  12. Cut diagonally in half to serve.
