Butter Icing

• 3 tbsp (45 ml) flour
• 1 cup (225 ml) milk
• 1/2 cup (125 ml) butter
• 1/2 cup (125 ml) Crisco
• 1 cup (225 ml) sugar
• 2 tsp (10 ml). vanilla

1. Blend flour and milk.
2. Cook together until thick.
3. Let stand to cool.
4. Cream butter and Crisco, then add sugar and vanilla.
5. Add flour mixture.
6. Beat until icing is white.
