Onion-Mushroom Topper
- 2 cups OSCAR MAYER 18-22 Slice Count Raw Bacon Flat Pak, coarsely chopped
- 1 gal. yellow onions, sliced
- 2 Tbsp. garlic, minced
- 2-1/2 qt. mushrooms, quartered
- 1-1/2 cups sherry
- 2 cups A.1. Original Sauce
- Cook bacon in large saute pan on medium heat until soft.
- Drain, reserving bacon and 1/2 of the bacon drippings in pan.
- Add onions and garlic; cook and stir until tender.
- Add mushrooms; cook 3 to 4 minutes or until mushrooms are tender and bacon is cooked through, stirring occasionally.
- Deglaze with pan with the sherry.
- Add steak sauce; cook 1 minute.
- Keep warm until ready to use.
