Black and White Peanut Butter Brownies

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F Lightly grease a 9x9 pan.
  2. Melt butter over low heat.
  3. Remove it from the heat and stir in the chopped white chocolate.
  4. Keep stirring until the chocolate softens.
  5. Stir in the sugar until well blended.
  6. Add the vanilla and salt.
  7. Mix well.
  8. Let the mixture cool to lukewarm.
  9. Beat in the eggs, one at a time.
  10. Add the peanut butter and beat till incorporated.
  11. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and baking powder.
  12. Stir into the egg mixture.
  13. Stir in 3/4 cup of the chocolate chunks.
  14. Spoon the batter into a greased 9" square pan, and sprinkle the remaining chocolate chunks over the top.
  15. Bake the brownies for 25 minutes, until they're light golden brown and the edges pull just slightly away from the pan.
  16. Remove from the oven, and cool before cutting.
