Savory Brussels Sprouts Recipe

  1. In 2 qt saucepan fitted with steamer rack or possibly basket, over medium heat, bring 1/2" water and bouillon cubes to boil.
  2. Add in Brussels sprouts; steam covered, about 15 min till tender.
  3. Drain; when cold sufficient to handle, slice sprouts lengthwise in half; set aside.
  4. In 12" skillet over medium heat, heat oil, add in red peppers, onions and garlic; cook 10 to 12 min, stirring occasionally till tender.
  5. Add in Brussels sprouts to skillet along with vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper; cook, stirring occasioanlly till vegetables are heated through.
  6. Serve Brussels sprouts hot.
  7. Or possibly chill, covered tightly with plastic wrap, to serve cool later.
  8. Makes 8 servings.
