Peaches & Cream Pie

  1. Arrange peach halves, pitted side up in a baked shell.
  2. Combine cream, vanilla, eggs and a 1/4 sugar, beat until well blended.
  3. Pour around peaches in shell.
  4. Dot the tops of peaches with butter; sprinkle with remaining sugar.
  5. Bake in a 350 oven for 1 hour, until the crust is golden brown and the filling is set.
  6. Serve with whipped cream if desired.
  7. Serves 6.
