Cheese Waffles With Ham Sauce
- 14 cup butter
- 14 cup Bisquick baking mix
- 14 teaspoon pepper
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup ham, finely cubed
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 2 cups Bisquick baking mix
- 1 13 cups milk
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 egg
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- Heat butter over low heat in a 2 quart saucepan until melted.
- Stir in 1/4 cup baking mix and the pepper.
- Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is smooth and bubbly.
- Remove from heat and stir in 2 cups milk.
- Heat to boiling, stirring constantly.
- Boil and stir 1 minute.
- Stir in ham and parseley, heat through.
- Keep warm over low heat.
- Beat 2 cups baking mix, 1 1/3 cup cups milk, the oil and egg with wire whisk until well blended.
- Fold in the cheese.
- Pour 1 cup batter onto center of hot waffle iron.
- Bake until steaming slows.
- Remove waffle carefully.
- Serve with hot ham sauce over waffles.
